The original Bird Shooter, introduced around 1915, is arguably the most broadly accomplished boot model in history. It was the first to complete the Appalachian Trail, the first to fly to the stratosphere, and was worn on the battlefields of WWII. We built the Backcountry Bird Shooter variant to includes the most requested options to the original: 7" height, Double Stack Midsole, Russell Double Vamp Construction, Pull Loops, Oak leather Heel Counters, and Lacing Studs.
