I got some Russell moccasins for my birthday 35 years ago, when Russell was under different ownership and offered an array of moccasins. They were simple, single piece sole items and they were amazing. Over the years they developed holes from use and I had them patched a few times, but two years ago I had them re-soled with bullhide using a Russell affiliated shop, and they are now better than new. It's simply amazing that 30+ year old moccasins can still be highly functional and comfortable. I also got a pair of Oniedas maybe 10 years ago. They are sturdier underfoot, more like shoes than my other mocs. I love both pairs, and think that the folks at Russell do amazing work. I'm a big believer that happy feet make a happy person, and I would live in Russell moccasins if my employer allowed it--I certainly do outside of work. Everyone should own a pair of moccasins; maybe this country would be a happier place.

After wearing name brand “Boat Shoes” for decades, I became intrigued by the Russell Oneida Moccasin. Really…A moccasin without a hard sole that can be worn basically anywhere. So, I bought a pair. After one month of wearing the Russell Oneida’s, I found the comfort and fit enjoyably different to other shoes, no break-in needed, just slip them on and go. Now, I will see how the Oneida’s wear over time. I am satisfied and Russell Moccasin has piqued my curiosity.

I love using these to just throw on and go to the store or on long drives. I can’t wait to get another pair to just use for hiking.

This is a superior product, handmade, without compromise. Expensive, seemingly, at first, but when you receive them, you immediately realize that you got a bargain. If you buy a pair of Russell’s, wear them for an hour, all you can think about is that you need to buy another pair of Russells. It makes you proud to be an American. We can still do things better than anyone else in the world.
