I have been dreaming of getting a pair of these boot for a while, finally got them in the smallest size, but they fit perfectly. I get to feel a gentle hug from the boot while feeling I have enough room to move my toes. I have wore them almost everyday since I got them, they felt like a glove right from the box which is something I appreciate so much. Been walking with them very long distances and no blisters. In the rain, snow, pavement, soil you name it, you get to feel very grounded in them. People often stare at the boots I think because they look so unique, also my students complimented them which is all that matters to me. Very grateful that I found this company and that I got a pair of companions for life and beyond!

These are perfect love the fit and look. Normally wear 10s downsized to 9 D and they fit perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

I don’t own the exact model but have the Earl Schaefer which is essentially a taller equivalent and have wore them rucking extensively for excessive as well as hunting grouse in the snowy north east. I can highly recommend them for the traction, extreme water resistance and stability they offer and also a great aesthetic. I own another pair of birdshooter derived boots in triple vamp that I also can’t say enough things about if your serious about outdoor pursuits and want to get away from throw away goretex boots these are a great alternative and worthy investment.

I love my new Backcountry boots. They were great right out of the box, but they really began to take shape around my feet and ankles within a few weeks. The leather looks, smells, and feels premium - very supple and well-oiled, yet durable. I sized down 1/2 from my brannock, which worked beautifully. The boots cradle my feet unlike anything else I've ever worn. They feel snug with no toe pinching whatsoever, and even moving downhill my feet hold in place securely. My heels run slightly narrow, but even so the heel pocket feels fairly secure. I imagine normal heels would have no trouble whatsoever. This is not budget footwear, but I love the boots, and I feel proud to support an iconic American company that still does things the right way.

First boot purchase: the quality is superb, looks even better in person. Feels great, and the leather is incredible. Cannot recommend the backcountry enough! Above all else, the costumer service is excellent. Had some misunderstandings about the build time for the boots, and they squared it off for me right away, even shipped an in stock pair to me that day! Quick service.
