The Safari, I've taken my time to really wear these in before I shared my thoughts on them. These boots exemplify the absolute wearability of this type of construction and what that offers. The combination of the Russell build quality, coupled with the lactae hevea sole, is for every day wear, unbeatable. Dead silent, grippy, with just the right amount of cushion and surprisingly wear resistant. These are made to wear daily, they aren't a stout logger boot or a red wing moc toe boot. They are supple, comfortable, agile, they offer plenty of protection, more like a glove than a gauntlet. If you're looking for shoes that offer a minimalist wear that gets better with age, these are the answer. Thanks Russell, I'm proud to wear your boots.
I have never worn a better boot. Done deal!
After spending quite a while researching hand crafted American made boots I finally settled on buying a pair of Russell’s. After receiving them and now wearing them for a little bit I have absolutely zero regrets. Straight out of the box you can tell the quality stands head and shoulders above boots I’ve previously owned. The soles on this particular boot are dead quiet, my wife thanks you for that btw :)
They only get more comfortable by the day as they start to mold to my feet. I very much look foreword to my next pair and am absolutely thrilled with my purchase.
Russell nailed it with this boot. Beautiful rich reddish brown leather that’s soft and waxy in hand. Very handsome, light weight, flexible and comfortable to wear. The sole is soft and amazingly quiet. I wear it in the field with Cargo pants or hiking pants and at the office with khakis or slacks. I’d love to see it in wheat chamois and black oil tan. You nailed it with this one Russell!
