This boot is nearly perfect. The quality of workmanship and materials is second to none. I highly recommend using the sizing tool. My sneaker size is 13D and the tool recommended a 12D, which ended up being right on. At first the boots seemed a bit narrow, but they broke in over time and are now the most comfortable footwear I’ve ever owned. It took a few months of occasional day-long wear to get them feeling great, but it was well worth the wait. Nothing feels like a Russell. Seriously, your feet will thank you. They are pricey, but they are well worth it when you factor in the quality, craftsmanship, and nearly infinite resolabiltity. I received my pair a week later than their estimated time. They were shipped via the cheapest possible USPS shipping, which was baffling to me given the price and mystique of the boots. They also shipped with what seem like dollar store laces that are nearly too small for the boots. If it weren’t for those things, these would easily be five stars.

Russel sent laces way too short for the boots! Even with short laces and the break in walk, still a great fitting boot!

These are incredibly comfortable and stylish. I can wear these all day for business and a walk in the woods without sore feet. I love the versatility, styling, and comfort of these Traveling Sportsman Chukkas!!

I ordered these back when Russell was doing custom fit and selling these as the "Art Carter Travelling Sportsman." The Classic Build version appears to be identical.

At first the fit seemed a bit narrow, but over time the boots molded to my feet. After about three years of regular use, the boots show no sign of wear--even the sole looks new. The material and quality of work are both superb.

Best of all, the boots are the most comfortable I own. I attribute this to the moccasin design which cradles my foot in a leather 'sock.' Now that Russell is offering more models, I've just received a pair of Chukkas for more leisure wear. I think they will be just as good.
