Chocolate Bison

American Bison is unique due to its combination of strength and softness. As a shrunken leather, Bison is thicker, yet less dense that non-shrunken leathers. This process softens the leather and accentuates the natural grain structure into the rugged pebbling that it is known for. Bison is best for daily wear and work applications. It easily conforms to the foot and is fairly low-maintenance.

Pecos Gaucho Chamois

Pecos is by far our strongest leather. As a chamois leather, the grain of Pecos is buffed to a matte velvet finish that takes scuffs and scratches like a champ. Pecos is treated for water resistance in the tanning process. Pecos is not an oil finished leather, so it will be a bit stiffer than our other leathers at first. Pecos is ideal for work and hiking applications. If you prefer the color as it is, treat with Pecards Conditioner.

Bronze Chamois

Bronze Chamois is tanned at the famed Horween Tannery in Chicago. As a chamois leather, the grain of Bronze Chamois is buffed to a matte velvet finish that takes scuffs and scratches like a champ. This leather is treated with oils in the tanning and finishing process which makes the leather incredibly supple. Bronze Chamois is best for dry environments unless used in a Double or Triple Vamp construction. If you prefer the color as it is, treat with Pecards Conditioner.

Bullhide

Bullhide was developed at Seidel Tannery in Milwaukee to be thick and tough enough to serve as a protective layer against snake bites. While we do not guarantee this leather as snakeproof, it is still incredibly durable and protective. Stuffed with wax and oil in the tanning process, it has beautiful pull-up qualities and easily conforms to the foot. Bullhide is much heavier compared to any of the other leathers.
