The Shoe
For a lightweight shoe that can transition between seasons and occasions with ease, look no further than the Russell Fishing Oxford. A classic of the Russell line, the Fishing Oxford has been the travel, walking & canoeing shoe for the well heeled sportsman since the 1960s. Lower cut & securely laced, the Fishing Oxford is a bit more dressy than the Lake Loafer or Chukka while being lighter than the B-52.
The Leather
Made from water-resistant, full-grain Walnut Timberjack leather, the Fishing Oxford is excellently suited to daily wear and outdoor activities. Over time it will patina and darken to a beautiful deep brown. Condition with Obenaufs or Pecards.
The Construction
Made as a Single Vamp moccasin on our 77 Last, the Fishing Oxford is made with boot-thickness leather to ensure durability in the long term. Unique to Russell Moccasin, this moccasin has a handsewn Overlap seam that provides structure and water resistance. Designed to go the distance, it features an oak leather midsole for easy resoling.
The Sole
Vibram's Aspen Gumlite is a soft and light compound with tread that provides plenty of traction while minimizing the tracking of dirt and mud.
