Gustin Bird Shooter 10.5D

I would have never built out a boot with black timberjack. Not that I don’t like a black boot. Just that when I think of Russell’s I think of brown leather. This pair came up on the ready to wear list in my size. I’ve been considering the Gustin Bird Shooter and the Oxford sole. I figured two out of three ain’t bad, and pulled the trigger. Boy am I glad I did! The leather is beautiful and the sole is very comfortable. The full lining gives some nice rigidity. The Gustin fits great and I like the height of the boot. I put Rose Anvil Blood Core laces and kilties on for some color. Man did it work! As a side note, I rolled my ankle a week ago and if I cinch the boot really tight it supports my ankle and feels better. I’m extremely happy with these boots.
Can’t wait for my Expeditions to come, but that’s a while out.

I’m wearing this boot as I write this. I picked the Gustin because it was in ready to wear and my size. It reminded me of my Fathers boots he would put on everyday. The boots came in April 2nd, I have since put over 30 miles on them. They felt good out of the box, I don’t remember any break in period. They have only gotten more comfortable since. I have no complaints about them. The Timberjack walnut leather is super thick but soft and pliable. It patinas well, picking up rubs and scrapes from everyday life, they will mostly brush out but it just adds to the beauty of the leather. You can tell the leather is full of oils and wax, so there is no need to treat your boots with anything for a long while and they keep my feet dry on rainy days.
I’ve considered buying another pair just so I won’t wear these out to quickly. Thanks Russell Moccasin you make a heck of a boot.

Best boots I have ever owned. After a week of break in, they are like leather slippers. I highly recommend these boots if you’re looking for a well made boot that delivers all day comfort with classic, traditional style.

First time user of site and the boot I originally ordered was not in stock in my size. Got hit with a $20 order cancellation fee despite ordering the more expensive Gustin Bird Shooter. Bought another less expensive brand to test side by side this fall. So far, they both seem comfortable but due to the crazy $20 order cancellation fee for an order that never shipped, I'll likely shop elsewhere.

to be 100% honest, I bought them premade ready to sell, not made to order, but I was disappointed in the sizing. The left boot was the right boot felt like it was a half size bigger and the back of the throat by the heel, the dip above the heel on the left was the one on the right was almost straight up and down, compared to the left one again, but I didn’t have time for returns and anyway they are amazing. Amazing boots. I am super happy other than the fit, but that’s off the shelf. I kinda almost understand, but the build quality on the left one was perfect. The one on the right the back of the throat, the heel is up and down compared to the left. Definitely will be ordering again.
